Electric Rastrello (“Rake”, in Italian) is a duo made up of Mattia Benuzzi (electronics + vocals) and multi-instrumentalist Luciano Turella (who has been playing with various European underground bands such as Appaloosa, Delay Lama, Toute Bleau, Tubax, Irtumbranda while also working as a session musician for mainstream Italian artists Motta, Nada, Giovanni Truppi), here on drums . Together they forged a hybrid sound, whose dynamic flow draws inspiration from the best electronic music, while keeping a solid, rock physicality. Electric Rastrello’s incessant drum grooves, out of control arpeggiators, monolithic basses and perverse samples mercilessly blend techno, industrial and funk, giving birth to an electro-pop(corn) capable of challenging even the most extremist dancefloors. “The Coolest Summer of Your Entire Life”, their first record co-produced by UR Suoni (Italy) and Copypast Editions (Switzerland) is a semi-concept album, vaguely inspired by current events and specifically by the figure of Mario Draghi (former president of the European Central Bank and former Italian Prime Minister), reptilian in disguise and a great occult maneuverer.

Gli Electric Rastrello sono un duo formato da Mattia Benuzzi (elettronica + voce) e dal poli-strumentista Luciano Turella (già con Appaloosa, Delay Lama, Toute Bleau, Tubax, Irtumbranda e turnista per Motta, Nada, Giovanni Truppi), qui alla batteria. Insieme hanno forgiato una miscela sonora di stampo ibrido: dinamica e fluida come la migliore musica elettronica, ma al contempo contraddistinta da una fisicità prettamente rock. Tra incessanti groove di batteria, arpeggiatori fuori controllo, bassi monolitici e campionamenti perversi, i due macinano senza pietà techno, industrial e funk, partorendo un electro-pop(corn) capace di sfidare anche i dancefloor più oltranzisti. “The Coolest Summer of Your Entire Life”, il loro primo album co-prodotto da UR Suoni (Italia) e Copypast Editions (Svizzera) è una sorta di concept, ispirato all’attualità e in particolare modo alla figura di Mario Draghi, rettiliano sotto mentite spoglie e grande manovratore occulto.
